Credit: (authors and sources listed alphabetically)	Today's Topic Discussion Prevention of Genetic Diseases: Gene editing technologies like CRISPR offer the ability to correct mutations that cause inherited diseases such as sickle cell anemia, Huntington’s disease, and cystic fibrosis. Advancements in Regenerative Medicine: Therapeutic cloning can produce genetically matched stem cells, which could be used to grow tissues or even organs for transplantation. Support for Infertile Couples and Reproductive Autonomy: Reproductive cloning could offer a path to biological parenthood for individuals or couples who cannot conceive using traditional or assisted reproductive technologies. Acceleration of Biomedical Research: Both gene editing and therapeutic cloning provide powerful tools for studying human development and disease. Potential Cost Savings in Healthcare: By preventing genetic diseases before birth or treating them at the molecular level, gene editing could reduce the need for long-term medical care, hospitalizations, and drug therapies.
About The Unifiers’ Movement (UM) UM is a global non-profit organization which aims to engage interested scholars with differing views in examining important global societal issues and developing publishable respected arguments that can serve as trustworthy sources to individuals, families, organizations, governments, etc., to express their own informed positions on the issue.
